How Resonance Reset™ Crystal Singing Bowls Are Made
Seven steps. Made one by one. Every bowl a unique piece, and every bowl measured.
A small manufactory, not mass production
Every Resonance Reset™ singing bowl is made individually in a small manufactory in China that has been working with gemstone-infused quartz bowls for years. The steps where care matters most happen by hand: mixing, finishing, tuning, testing. The steps with extreme temperatures or controlled conditions happen with technical support. Quartz is quartz; what makes a Resonance Reset™ bowl what it is, is the precision standard the manufactory holds with Nathalie and the verification step she runs before every shipment.
The workshop partner’s working principle: “Made one by one, every bowl, every step.”
Step 1: Mixing
Quartz powder is mixed with the powder of the corresponding gemstone. Each bowl has its own recipe: emerald for the heart chakra, for example; obsidian for the root chakra; sapphire for the Angel Frequencies. Which stone belongs to which bowl is shown on every product page. The gemstone is fused in: part of the material from the start.
Step 2: Casting form
The mixture is poured into a casting form. This is the only technical step in the process.
Step 3: Kiln
The bowl is melted at over 1,700 °C.
Step 4: Cooling
The bowl cools slowly over hours, to release internal stress and let the material set evenly.
Step 5: Hand finishing
Ground and polished, all by hand. The outside stays matte; the inside is polished smooth. Because this step happens by hand, no two Resonance Reset™ bowls look exactly alike. Small variations in surface, wall thickness, and color come with that. They are part of how a handcrafted quartz bowl is.
Step 6: Hand-tuning
This is where the bowl is brought to its target frequency. After hand finishing, the bowl has a natural pitch: close to the target, but rarely exactly on it. From there, the tuner shapes the bowl further by hand until the pitch sits at the target.
Then the second step: verification on a calibrated Peterson iStroboSoft (0,1 cent reading). The deviation from the target frequency is measured and recorded. Resonance Reset™ ships bowls within 5 cents of their target, verified, documented per piece. With most crystal singing bowls, pitch is left to chance and can sit almost a quarter tone off (45 cents); the 5-cent standard is what makes pair and set work possible: when two bowls are tuned that precisely, their overtones layer cleanly on top of each other instead of fighting one another.
Tuned to 432 Hz as standard. On request, every bowl can be made in 440 Hz, with the same 5-cent verification. More on 432 Hz vs. 440 Hz →
Step 7: Personal test
Before every bowl is shipped, Nathalie listens to it personally. The verified measurement and her own ear together decide whether a bowl is released or returned for retuning. What you receive is what passed the audio test.
A note on the gemstone
The gemstone is fused into the quartz from the start, not coated, not applied. That’s a real material property and it gives each bowl its color and a part of its sonic character. What can be said honestly: different stones produce different bowls, and practitioners and players consistently describe distinct resonance qualities between them. The verified, measurable claim is the precision. The gemstone is the honest material property that accompanies it.
Every bowl is a unique piece
You get exactly this one, with its own small characteristics and its own measured deviation from target, documented in writing. In the Shop you’ll find single bowls, sets, and pairs. If you have questions about which bowl fits your work: write to Nathalie, she’ll reply personally.
